ALCOHOLISM/ADDICTION/RECOVERY

We face a critical hour in our Country, around the world, we are in financial disaster mode and that means that millions will turn to drugs and alcohol for relief then get hooked, addicted, many will die, suicides will progressively get worse and an acceptable way out, we're already seeing this, we will need help, hope and a way out of this mess now. I have been there, done that and got the tee shirt-so to speak. I was totally addicted to drugs and alcohol for many years when finally I decided after many failed attempts to blow my head off. I placed the gun in my mouth and pulled the trigger, the rest of this story is in my book,"MY MIND HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN," on my web site, www.gordonrouston.com, I share this story and my recovery the past (34) years with the hope that millions will read my story and be blessed with hope, a way out that really works and freedom from addiction. I firmly believe that unless you have been there, lived it, the hell of addiction and survived o tell the story you cannot help anyone. Addiction is a disease of isolation, must be treated or you will die a horrible, lonely desperate death through the use and abuse of whatever you are addicted too. Too many so called cures out ther that do not work, only make it worse, you must treat the root causes not the symptoms to get free. There is hope for everyone that is addicted, you can do it, you just need soem encouragement from someone that has been there and knows what it is all about. 

Backwards Government

Time to wake up America, we're getting ripped off big time by our government, elected and appointed officials that supposedly represent us not their own agendas and pocket books. We elect them, they promise stuff like no new taxes, they spend more than they get, they come back to us for more and more, never have enough, taking us directly to the poor house, we sit back and say/do nothing, so who's fault is that? We have the vote, we elect the people, they work for us, they do what we tell them or they lose their jobs and if it gets bad enough then we prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law until they get the message. None of this tax and spend makes any sense, deficit spending isn't for us the general public so why is it okay for our government? China is buying up all our debt as fast as we produce it, guess what their motivation is? The once proud and esteemed USA is going down the tubes fast, what we have worked so hard to produce especially for our children is being wiped out over night. The stimilus packages are not stimulating anything, they are doing teh opposite, they are drowning us in debt and we do nothing. We better wake up and now, change all this, bring it back to the way it was intended or we are doomed, pure and simple. Start now, demmand your rights, remember it is government for the people, by the people and of the people, not government for the select few and governmet run the way they want it-those with their hands in the cookie jar.
